Commish's Quiz

This month the "Quiz Master" is responding to a question about representation on the Commission Board.

Commission Members should: email their response before Noon Thursday, 1/18/07! Send your answers to Service.Commission@maine.gov. All correct answers will be well rewarded at the meeting.

This month's quiz

Section "§7502. Membership; terms" of the Commission's statute lists the designated representation for each seat on the commission. The "must have" list is enumerated A-J and the more flexible list is in a paragraph that MCCS usually designates as 1-4 (see below).

Question:

Using the letter or number listed as "Sector from Statute" by your name on the Commissioner Contact list (log into the work area), identify which sector you are representing on the board.

"Flexible" seats 1-4:

1. Educators, including representatives from institutions of higher education and local education agencies;
2. Experts in the delivery of human, educational, environmental or public safety services to communities and persons;
3. Representatives of Native American tribes and nations;
4. Representatives of out-of-school or at-risk youth; and representatives of programs that are administered or receive assistance under the federal Domestic Volunteer Service Act
