The place to Headquarter HappeningsThe monthly update for Commission business meetings. |
Commish's QuizMore than trivia, this quiz prompts recall of the small details that influence Commission operations and past decisions. Each month, a different "teaser" is posted. Commission Members who know the answer(s) should: email the correct response before 8 p.m. Monday., 9/13/04! Send your answers to Service.Commission@maine.gov. All correct answers will be well rewarded at the meeting. This month's quizFor the next ten months, the Commission will celebrate its own anniversary and accomplishments. The milestone coincides with a similar celebraton of both the establishment of AmeriCorps and the creation of CNCS.
Over the 10 years, nearly 100 Maine citizens have served as MCCS Commissioners. Below is a picture we found in the archives of Commission members at a conference in 1998 or 1999.
This month's quiz winner will be the person who can name the most people here! And, for the record, former First Lady Mary Herman was not one of the Commissioners! As a bonus, identify the three MCCS chairs in this picture!
