Healthy Acadia has partnered with over 20 host sites in the first two years of the program. These sites are spread within the eight county region of service: Aroostook, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Waldo, and Washington. Sites include medical facilities, county jails, and recovery centers.

RecoveryCorps members become trained recovery coaches. They help individuals seeking recovery, work to decrease stigma and disseminate accurate information to the community regarding substance use disorder. They build and grow recovery ready communities by developing and increasing recovery supports.

This is a stipended volunteer position, with opportunities for ranging from full time service to minimum time of 300 hours in one year. There is also a Segal Education Award available to service members.
