Presenters Sought for Maine's Volunteerism Conference
June 16th, 2006
"Maine Volunteers: Engaged at Every Age" will be the theme of the 2006 statewide gathering of volunteer leaders. The Blaine House Conference on Volunteerism is Maine's only statewide professional development and networking opportunity. It will take place Tuesday, 3 October, at the Ramada Inn in Bangor ME. Nearly 200 people attend each year.
Conference planners identified the program content through surveys of volunteer directors, staff, and sponsors. Now, they are inviting trainers and highly experienced practitioners to respond to the needs by proposing high quality workshops.
Workshop proposals are due Friday, 30 June, at 4:30 pm. For details on proposal content and workshop topics, download the "Call for Proposals" through
