Justice Jabar to Swear in Maine AmeriCorps Members

Celebrating 1 million AmeriCorps Members
More than 100 AmeriCorps members and alums from all across the State of Maine will gather in Maine’s Hall of Flags to participate in a nationwide swearing-in ceremony presided over in Maine by the Honorable Justice Joseph Jabar of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
This October, the 1 millionth AmeriCorps member will take the Pledge to “Get Things Done for America.” Since 1994 more than 6,000 Maine residents have served in AmeriCorps.
This event is part of a nationwide Pledge day with events in every state and territory involving tens of thousands of the AmeriCorps members serving nationally. In addition to Justice Jabar, there will also be presentations from the offices of Maine’s US Congressional delegation and a brief speech by Natalie Landry, a recent AmeriCorps alumna.
