 AmeriCorps Week

  • Convened AmeriCorps Week Planning committee
  • Designed/updated AmeriCorps Week Website
  • Sent press releases

BHCV

  • Met with committee to brainstorm theme
  • Began working on imagery for theme
  • Learned Animoto to send digital invitation for BHCV

 GSA

  • Edited certificates for ROH and HOF
  • Convened both GSA events
  • Mailed certificates to people who did not attend
  • Sent press release
  • Updated website with winners and event pictures

 Volunteer Disaster Coordination

  • Attended DCT (Donation Coordination Team) meeting at MEMA
  • Manage full-time Emergency Management VISTA
  • Attended MEMA’s Emergency Preparedness Conference
  • Helped with VRC training
  • Help advertise Mass Rescue Exercise event

TWC

  • Coordinated Maine Street segments monthly
  • Include TWC in press releases where appropriate
  • Met with TWC to secure Service-learning funds
  • Began PSA/commercial development for Vmaine and Service-learning

Web

  • Maintained both sites. Requiring weekly and sometimes daily updates
  • Designed/updated AmeriCorps Week web page
  • Facilitated redesign meeting for volunteermaine.org
  • Managed vendor progress on Vmaine redesign
  • Worked with Vmaine partners to develop site
  • Worked with Vmaine partners to look at other software solutions to possibly replace TRUIST

 Users Group

  • Facilitated conversations around redesign
  • Facilitated conversations on licensing and database structure
  • Convened meetings
  • Wrote notes and agendas. Posted online
  • Sent meeting reminders and answered members questions

 Press

  • Wrote and distribute relevant press releases. See www.maineservicecommission.gov and VolunteerMaine.org
  • 39 press clips featuring and/or mentioning AmeriCorps, VolunteerMaine, or MCCS were in Maine
  • papers during the month of April.  

Blog

  • Post blogs 2-3 times a week
  • Sent reminders to featured bloggers and recruited guest posts weekly

 Twitter and Face Book

  •  Approved fans and friends weekly
  •  Post messages 3-5 times weekly
  • Designed and setup Face Book ads for online course at USM 
VolunteerFare 
  • Wrote April issue of VolunteerFare newsletter and posted online

 PIE

  • Worked with Andrew to create agenda
  • Wrote agenda and notes for meetings and posted them online
