 VOLUNTEER GENERATION FUND

Convened quarterly technical assistance meeting with grantees.  Began development of a theory of change related to Volunteer Generation Fund activities.

 Continued working with USM/Muskie and finalized evaluation survey.  Survey to be distributed in Nov.

Presented two workshops at Blaine House Conference.

Attended GrowSmart Maine Conference in Augusta.

Reviewed Year 3 continuation applications and prepared summaries for Grants Task Force.

Submitted program progress report to CNCS.

Conducted outreach to establish peer networks in regions not currently covered by a volunteer center or peer network.

Provided oversight and responded to requests in counties without a regional administrator for Volunteer Solutions (Volunteer management technology on VolunteerMaine.org.)

Provided technical assistance to grantees on topics as needed.

GOVERNER'S AWARDS FOR SERVICE & VOLUNTEERISM

Updated nomination information for distribution at Blaine House Conference. 

 Website updated and nominations open.  Deadline is Feb 1.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Participated in MCCS bi-weekly staff meetings and Commission retreat.

Participated in Donations Coordination Team meeting at Maine Emergency Management Agency.

Attended Southern Maine Community Organizations in Active in Disaster.

Participated in FEMA's Volunteer & Donations Partners.  Provided information from meeting to MEMA regarding www.serve.gov as a point of contact for individuals & groups wanting to help.

Monitored Disaster Services Volunteer registration through VolunteerMaine.org and responded to registered volunteers and advised them of www.serve.gov if they were willing to respond out of state.  Information also shared with Maine AmeriCorps Alums groups and CNCS funded programs in Maine.
