VOLUNTEER GENERATION FUND

 

Continued to work with Washington County’s Neighbors Care Advisory Council to identify new partner to serve as fiscal agent.

 

Met USM Muskie School of Public Service Professor to develop skills assessment based on core competencies of volunteer managers.

 

Researched on-line volunteer management training series.

 

Assisted with processing of fiscal reports for grantees.

 

Coordinated teleconference TA call with grantees.

 

Presented keynote at United Way of York County’s annual meeting.

 

Participated in meeting with United Ways regarding new configuration of Truist, single license for the state, and infrastructure needed to support the statewide website.

 

Participated in planning meeting for 2012 Cabot Community Tour Celebrate Portland festival on July 7.  2012.  Cabot Community Tour celebrates farmers, cooperatives, credit unions and volunteers who give their hearts, time and skills to strengthen our communities.

 

Provided oversight and responded to requests in counties without a regional administrator for Volunteer Solutions (Volunteer management technology on VolunteerMaine.org.)

 

Provided technical assistance to grantees on Year 2 performance measures and other topics as needed.

 

GOVERNOR’S AWARDS FOR SERVICE & VOLUNTEERISM

Developed media releases for National Volunteer Week and awards ceremony.

 

Coordinated awards ceremony and meet & greet with State Legislatures.

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Participated in MCCS and SPO staff meetings.

 

Participated in Donations Coordination Team meeting at Maine Emergency Management Agency.

 

Participated in annual Maine Prepares Conference at the Augusta Civic Center sponsored by Maine Emergency Management Agency.  Workshop presented on using volunteer time to meet FEMA match requirements and staffed exhibit booth.  Assisted in staffing exhibitor booth for both days of the conference.

 

Organized general office supplies and equipment list for office move.
