October 2011 Minutes Grant Selection & Performance Task Force

Present: Joan McDonald, Susan Austin, Mary Catherine Bromberg
Prospective members of the Grants Task Force participated in a teleconference introduction to the duties of the Task Force. Topics discussed were:
- GTF responsibilities
- Upcoming policy work
- Calendar of regular GTF meetings
- Calendar for upcoming competitions

The Grants Task Force met in Executive Session to consider Service-learning continuation applications from RSU 34 (Alton, Bradley, Old Town) and MSAD 17 (Oxford Hills School District). Task Force members made recommendations based on a review of continuation applications and associated budgets, data reports from the prior grant period and summary information prepared from monitoring and other reporting done by grantees.
Recommendation for Oxford Hills was continuation at $16,000 with no conditions
Recommendation for RSU 34 was continuation at $16,000 with the condition that fiscal reporting be in compliance

The Grants Task Force met in Executive Session to consider the Service-learning continuation application from the Sanford School Department. Task Force members made their recommendation based on a review of continuation application and associated budget, data reports from the prior grant period and summary information prepared from monitoring and other reporting done by the grantee.
Recommendation for Sanford School Department was continuation at $16,000 with no conditions.
All Service-learning continuation recommendations were forwarded for action by the Commission’s Executive Committee
