November 2011 Minutes Grant Selection & Performance Task Force

Nov. 21, 2011 - Present:: Ron Holmes, Celeste Branham, Casey Bromberg

The Grants Task Force met in Executive Session to consider the Volunteer Generation Fund continuation applications from the Maine Seacoast Mission,  and the United Ways of Eastern Maine, Greater Portland, Midcoast Maine, Tri-Valley and York County.  Task Force members made their recommendation based on a review of continuation application and associated budget, data reports from the prior grant period and summary information prepared from monitoring and other reporting done by the grantee.

Recommendations:

  • Maine Seacoast Mission - continuation with the condition that all monitoring findings are resolved by 30 January 2012.  Award amount, $32,806 with local match of $ 25,634
  • United Way of Eastern Maine- continuation with the condition that all monitoring findings are resolved by 30 January 2012.  Award amount, $33,000 with local match of $22 ,429
  • United Way of Greater Portland- continuation with the condition that all monitoring findings are resolved by 30 January 2012.  Award amount, $33,000 with local match of $ 26,902
  • United Way of Midcaost Maine- continuation with the condition that all monitoring findings are resolved by 30 January 2012.  Award amount, $33,000 with local match of $24,935
  • United Way of the Tri-Valeey Area- continuation with the condition that all monitoring findings are resolved by 30 January 2012.  Award amount, $33,000 with local match of $42 ,763 (Bromberg recused)
  • United Way of York County - continuation with the condition that all monitoring findings are resolved by 30 January 2012.  Award amount, $22,491 with local match of $17,893

All Volunteer generation Fund continuation recommendations were forwarded for action by the Commission’s Executive Committee
