Maryalice Crofton, Director


Maryalice Crofton, Director

Joined the Commission staff on April 1, 1995 and served as Grant Program Officer until she was appointed Director in May 1996. Maryalice's responsibilities include supporting the volunteers who serve as Commissioners, serving as liaison to external partners, representing the Commission on regional and national initiatives, and acting as Team Leader for the Community Service in the State Planning Office.

Anne Schink, Project INVEST Coordinator


Anne Schink, Training & Technical Assistance Officer

First joined the Commission staff in September 1995. In 1996, took a program position but returned to the Commission as Training/Technical Assistance Office in December 1997. From January 2004 until March 2008, she served as the AmeriCorps Program Officer in addition to Training Officer and Disability Coordinator.

Project INVEST (Increased Nonprofit Volunteer Education & Skill Training) addresses the need for accessible volunteer management training in a variety of formats across Maine. It is one of four grants awarded in 2007 by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Rochelle Runge , Public Relations Representative

  Rochelle Runge  

Joined the team in April 2008. She is a University of Southern Maine graduate who has worked in a number of fields including, marketing, software, and staffing.

Most recently Rochelle was the Program Manager for the Army Volunteer Corps on Fort Drum located in upstate New York. The installation has more than 3,000 volunteers and serves over 40 organizations.

As the Public Relations Representative, Rochelle ensures the community and stakeholders are informed about the Commission’s resources, programs, policies, and events. Her work will include researching best practices, developing policy and plans, and guiding and implementing activities to accomplish communications goals.

Harold Shaw , Program Grants Officer

  Harold Shaw, Jr.  

Harold came to the Commission in June 2008. He is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Warrant Officer where he performed a variety of duties including Human Resources, Administrative Services, Budget Management and many Special Projects.  Harold is a graduate of the University of the State of New York.  Most recently Harold was a Special Education Teacher for a small private school that serves students who were not successful in the public school system.

Vacant, Training and Disability Coordinator

     

This is professional services work in developing constituent training programs and courses of instruction in the field of volunteer and community service program operations, volunteer administration, and inclusion. Work includes research and analysis, policy development, and the completion of related administrative tasks. Responsibilities include serving as the volunteer and community service content expert for committees in specific program areas. This position includes specific responsibilities for developing and modifying the curriculum for and delivering actual training courses in specific areas of expertise.
