25th anniversary celebration rundown of events


The 25th Anniversary celebration will be held Friday Oct. 11, 2019 at the Waterville Opera House in Waterville, Maine. The event will bring together program alumni and community leaders to celebrate the Commission's rich past and exciting future...with a few surprises thrown in!

The evening will feature performances from Maine musicians and poets that are part of a state-wide music project to commemorate the 25th anniversary. Organized by the Maine Volunteer Foundation and the Commission, Heartbeat of Home is an album that will feature original and newly-recorded spoken word and musical numbers, as well as selected recordings by Maine artists. The project is led by Maine Celtic singer and producer Kristyn Murphy.

Location: Waterville City Hall first floor lobby (one floor below Waterville Opera House)
