This Month's Challenge
The Congressional Budget Justification (CBJ) is a document developed by each federal agency and collectively these comprise the President's Budget submitted to Congress. In the CNCS CBJ for FY2017 which was unveiled on February 8, there are many points to ponder and the public policy committee of ASC has a lively discussion on all of them.
To introduce you to this year's CBJ, here is this month's quiz.
On pages 50-51, the Volunteer Generation Fund is discussed. What Commission initiative is discussed as being supported by this grant program?
Bonus question: on page 12, in the paragraph beginning "SEC. 405" what is the significance of the proposed changes? Hint: it has to do with the finding from our FBI audit and changes we had to make to handling the results of Criminal History Record checks for National Service programs.

Note: don't be put off by the doc size. There are lots of charts and appendices.
